Butterflies

They say a picture
Is worth a thousand words,
But just one look into your eyes
Gives me enough butterflies
To fill a lifetime
Full of red and yellow,
pink,
green,
And every color
inbetween
Each line

You remind me of the angels
I never knew existed
Until the day
I broke like shattered glass,
Fallen at your feet--
But you forgave
My selfishness
With selflessness and hope
